Hello all,
I am new to the TenkaraPrim website. My username is FredSG. I live in Northern Maine, USA. I am also new to Tenkara Fishing. Where I live there are numerous rivers, streams and ponds that have trout, bass, and perch and other varieties of fish, so fishing is excellent.
I have become very interested in the Tamo Nets. So much so that I decided to make my own. I read online how to make a Tamo Net. I went into the woods and found what I think are correct branch specimens.
I removed the bark and then wrapped the branches around wooden wheels that I had on hand and tied the branches to the wheel diameter with zip tyes to help form the circular shape I need. My photos show the branches with the bark still on, and the next two photos show the branches attached to the two wooden wheels, each with a different diameter. I have stored the two branches in my greenhouse to help dry out and form the circular shape. I will keep the branches stored for maybe a month or two. And then I will do the finish work on the Tamo Nets I hope to complete. FredSG
